Nissan NV200 Taxi

Nissan's "Taxi of Tomorrow" arrived in New York City for a Tuesday night unveiling. The new cab will replace the city's 13,000 iconic Checker cabs over the next decade.

The NV200 offers more legroom, special anti-microbial seats, a window in the roof for gazing up at skyscrapers, and USB outlets for recharging cellphones and other electronics. According to an article on NPR.org, the NV200 has already earned the approval of New York cabbies.

We'll have to wait until October 2013 to see what passengers think.
